Grant Alphenaar

Alpha 616 Media, LLC has its roots in West Michigan. Grant holds Bachelor’s degrees in Economics & International Relations from Calvin University (formerly Calvin College) and most recently completed a Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science from Grand Valley State University, where he received an award for outstanding academic performance, and now employs his technical expertise to produce high-quality photography and videography.
He has experience in data science, served as a math interventionist in the Michigan Education Corps, and most recently worked as a machine learning research scientist at GVSU where he helped develop an AI system using drone imagery to detect diseased trees.
Grant has experience in drone operations for both photo and video as well as handheld photography and videography. He started Alpha 616 Media, LLC after he realized the need for drone operators skilled in the intersection of drone operations, technical & computer expertise, and photo/video skills.
